National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre (NBOCC)

Workshop organisers

The National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre (NBOCC) was awarded a grant by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing in June 2007 to undertake a 12-month program to improve the knowledge and management of secondary lymphoedema in Australia.

This program includes a professional development component for health professionals, with resources to assist Divisions of General Practice to host local workshops. Workshops have been developed for health professionals and for Indigenous health workers.

Information about the resources can be found under Workshops for health professionals, and Workshops for Indigenous health workers.

Opportunities for Divisions also exist to help health professionals in the assessment and management of secondary lymphoedema by running Divisional workshops to support the uptake and use of the NBOCC’s resource: The management of secondary lymphoedema: workshop module for health professionals. Click here (pdf 122kb) for more information.

PLEASE NOTE: These workshop kits are intended as a training resource for health professionals or Indigenous professionals only.

Booklets and CD-ROMs can be ordered free of charge provided you are a health professional.
