Hitting the road in 2007 National Breast Cancer Centre (NBCC)* will be spreading the message of breast and ovarian cancer awareness far and wide in 2007 as part of The Australian Women’s Weekly-Commonwealth Bank ‘On the Road’ national road train. The road train will visit more than 100 regional Australian locations bringing information about health, cooking, fashion, beauty, family matters and even Internet banking. NBCC is delighted to play a role in this creative initiative to ensure important information about breast and ovarian cancer reaches women across Australia. ‘On the Road’ plans to conduct 94 smaller events and eight full-day events across the country.
Director of the National Breast Cancer Centre Dr Helen Zorbas said: “As Australia’s peak information source on breast and ovarian cancer, the National Breast Cancer Centre is delighted to play a role in this creative initiative. Australia is a very diverse country and we recognise the need to take important and potentially lifesaving health messages to women in regional and remote communities so we can provide the facts everywoman should know about breast and ovarian cancer and answer any questions they may have.”
These are the list of confirmed locations that the National Breast Cancer Centre will be visiting as part of this road train. There is no need to RSVP just turn up on the day.
